Leave Requests

Adding Leave

Different ways to add leave:

1. Employee submits a Leave Request (app or web portal)


2. Add a leave request for an employee (web portal)

💻 Payroll > Leave Requests
  • Select the staff
  • Enter dates (mandatory)
  • Select the Leave Type, how many hours they are using & Notes/Comments (all optional)
  • Check the box next to the submit button if you are approving the leave as well
  • Click Submit Leave Request


3. Directly to Rosters

💻 Rostering > Roster - Build Mode

Option 1 - Add a Leave Shift

  • Scroll down to leave and press the + for the day you want to add the leave
  • Select staff, leave type and number of hours
  • Save Changes


Option 2 - Convert a work shift

  • Hover the cursor over the shift
  • Click edit (pencil icon)
  • Click Move to Leave (change it to Personal Leave by default)


4. Timesheets (links to leave requests)

💻 Rostering > Log/Timesheets

  • Get Staff Timesheets
  • Click the + icon under leave hours for the employee/day
  • Follow the steps above to add a leave request for an employee

Approving/Rejecting Leave

When an employee submits a leave request, a notification email will be sent to designated email addresses.

Configure Leave Approvers & Notifications

💻 Payroll > Leave Requests


Filter Options:

  • You can filter the report by all staff or an individual
  • Sort requests by Upcoming Leave, Leave Date, or Latest Submitted Date


To Approve/Reject Leave:

  • Click Edit (green button)
  • Check leave balances (Premium Plus Only)
  • Check against other staff availability using the leave calendar
  • Select Leave Type and hours to use
  • Check the box if you want to notify staff
  • Click Approve or Reject

Staff receive an email when leave has been approved or rejected and will be notified via the app if Notify Staff option is ticked.
